Forensic Shift Leader- Wed-Sat 1pm-11pm (Greenville, GA)

The Turner Center Intensive Residential Program providesintensive residential mental health treatment and education targeted atrestoring the competence of youths court-referred due to incompetence to standtrial (IST). The length of stay varies based on the unique circumstances surroundingeach individual's case, including the sequence and outcomes of his or hercompetency evaluations. The program operates 24hours per day, 7 days a week. Theprogram provides room, board, and watchful oversight functions in addition tocompetency restoration interventions in accordance with the State of Georgia's rules and regulations for ChildCaring Institutions.
The SocialService Technician III in this program serves as the Shift Leader for thedesignated shift. Duties include but arenot limited to the following:
Providingleadership for the forensic technicians during the assigned shift
Underthe direction of the Program Manager, assigns specific shift duties on a dailybasis
Coordinationof activities to ensure consistency with the program's overall daily schedule
Supervisesthe self-administration of medications
Functionsas the point person to facility visitors
Workswith the security team to coordinate visitation and execute drills and safetyprotocols according to policy
Facilitatesand participates in shift change to ensure that pertinent information is passedfrom incoming and outgoing shifts (including levels and transition groups)
Submitsdaily shift reports to Program Manager
Conductingrecreational games or activities according to the daily schedule
Observationof behavior and ability to implement standard and appropriate consequences andrewards according to a standard behavior management system
Assistingresidents with development of basic living skills to promote self-care andindependence
Documentinginterventions provided and behavioral observations in clients' electronicrecord; Is able to articulate in writing the resident's progress towards goalson the RBWO (Room Board and Watchful Oversight) service plan.
Facilitatingor co-facilitating competency restoration training and completion of requireddocumentation
Providingsupportive counseling in a group setting or individually through use of activelistening and encouragement
Rolemodeling appropriate behaviors for residents on daily basis by demonstratingclear boundaries, positive attitude and encouraging demeanor.
Accompanyingresidents on outings or to appointments in the community as needed.
Providingconstant supervision of residents during assigned shift and maintains anawareness of safety and/or potential threats at all times
Proactivelyfacilitating conflict resolution between residents
Participatesin treatment team meetings for assigned caseload
Assistingwith the general cleanliness of the service environment. Participatesin required staff meetings and training sessions
Bachelor's degree in a social services related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of experience in a social services related field OR High school diploma or GED AND Three years of experience in a social services related position OR One year of experience at the lower level Social Svcs Tech 2 (SST011) or position equivalent.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
